Chair, if we do not act now, we will lose our country. I have been saying this for more than 20 years, and every poll confirms it again. A large majority of the Dutch people believe that Islam does not belong in the Netherlands not only a large majority of the Dutch people believe that Islam does not belong in the Netherlands. Not only a large majority of the Dutch people, but also a large majority of nearly all major political parties in this House. It is not a religion of peace, no matter how often the left-wing establishment preaches that lie. It is a totalitarian and violent ideology that strives for submission and domination. And wherever Islam takes root, it is followed by a lack of freedom, chaos, death, and destruction. We see terrorists attacks. We see the exploding hatred of Jews, anti-semitism. We see hatred of women. We see hatred of homosexuals. We see honor killings and a deep aversion to everything that is free, modern, and Western. Recently, here in the Netherlands 15 people were arrested by the police for using TikTok to incite others to commit terrorist crimes in the Netherlands for the Islamic State.
Chair, Islam is poisoning our society from within. And it is already the largest religion in the Netherlands among young people under the age of 25 already. And if we do not intervene at lightning speed, Islam will be the largest religion in the Netherlands as a whole in about 20 years. That would mean there are no more Muslims than Christians in the Netherlands, and I consider that a nightmare, a nightmare of barbarism rooted, let us not forget, in the example of that prophet, the Prophet Muhammad, worshiped by nearly 2 billion Muslims worldwide. But the life of that prophet was a succession of brutal violence of mass murder and pedophilia.
But Chair, this country does not belong to false prophets or imams. It is not the country of asylum seekers. It is not the country of left-liberal multiculturalists who hate our own identity. This country certainly does not long to Rob Jetten. This country belongs to the Dutch people. It is the country of our youth and must remain the country of our children. A country rooted in Judeo-Christian Civilization, not in the suffocating desert laws of Mecca. And for that reason, too, our borders must be closed. We must commit to remigration--voluntary, but also mandatory for criminals, profiteers, and illegal migrants. We must close Islamic schools and I also believe that head scarves for underage Muslim girls should be legally banned. There must be a ban on the Islamic call to prayer, or, even better, on the construction of new mosques. But Prime Minister Jetten and his colleagues are not making these choices. They are doing nothing about the asylum tsunami and they are facilitating the further islamization of the Netherlands. And that is also why we are resisting. And many Dutch people stand with us, people who are done with open borders, done with the Asylum tsunami, with the coercive law, with priority housing for status holders, with turning our country into one large refugee camp, with handing the Netherlands over to Islam.
