NATO is a military alliance that seems to have undercut any respect that national sovereignty should afford European nations.  And since 1949, this military alliance has been staunchly anti-Soviet, then anti-Russian has sought to turn Russia into a colony of the west.  In its transition from a controlled, communist economy to a market economy, Russia was raped by western billionaires.
