Big Lies, Viral Tweets and American Betrayal by Diana W
Read on SubstackIt's only been about a week since Putin cycled through Magadan, the edge of Russia and went to a Lend-Lease Memorial and then popped over to Alaska for his visit with Trump. But it has been a World War II kind of week ever since for me. I ended up being quite struck by the symbolism that was absolutely over everyone's heads, because, why wouldn't it be? We're never taught these things. So if you haven't read American Betrayal, which is part of this week's story, you would not know, I didn't know until I researched this and put it in American Betrayal, Magadan, for example, was the transport point. It was actually a slave built, Soviet slave built, city transit point for the Arctic Circle: gold mining camps, timber, logging camps, and so on, gulag camps, very notorious Kolyma Gulag is in this region. And in American Betrayal, Magadan comes up in a memoir that was recorded in the 1990s by an eyewitness to seeing American troops in Magadan transiting into that harshest gulag system so that kind of hits you hard when you know that, and you don't see anyone else knowing that. "Oh, Putin is in Magadan!" and he went to this particular Monument, "Oh, a symbol of Russian-American cooperation!" and he lays a wreath, he lays roses. He didn't go to the Magadan Mask of Sorrow Monument, 1996, to commemorate the pain and suffering of tens of thousands of poor slaves. including Americans, who were forced into labor camps and so on. And these would have been American POWs, perhaps I didn't mention that. Who are discussed in the American Betrayal of soldiers going back really to World War I but really in every war we've ever fought with the Soviet Union, as well as China we've had men left behind, and this is always been denied and turned into a kind of cartoon. The first real inkling in the public imagination came from the Rambo movies, 1982, which seemed very cartoonish to most people but this was a real story. Indeed the big shock is the 15 to 20,000 Americans soldiers GIs who had been in German Nazi POW camps when the Soviets came through and took possession of those lands they transited into the gulag system never to return home, and something like 20,000 plus, 30,000, Nationals belonging to the British Empire at the time, British, Canadian, New Zealanders, etc. They too were left behind so we had this massive cover-up, which is detailed in the book, Chapter 11 of American Betrayal. But these kinds of images, this history, is encased in the word "Magadan," in the Land Lease statue, and all the rest of it. It was presented to the American people, to anyone who is paying attention these days, as a symbol of Russian-American cooperation, and Putin puts his bouquet there and goes and does his whatever happened in Alaska with Trump. And again it was not Russian-American cooperation, it was Soviet-American subversion and the lesson of American Betrayal, the subject of American Betrayal is to study that subversion, the communization of our government, our institutions through the stealth aggression of Soviet agents, straight-up Soviet agents, assets, contacts, fellow Travelers, useful fools, who are fanned out in our government in a very meaningful way. There's a word I cannot stand, it's not a real word, "impactful way." I'm only using that to make fun of it no but with an impact to bring an impact starting in a very serious way in the FDR years in the early 1930s and this is the story of the opening of that Network these networks that American Betrayal begins with as Whittaker Chambers arrives in Washington DC in 1934 around the same time in the same season as a man named William Wirt arrived to testify as to what he knew about these networks, what he knew about these secret communist plans to overthrow our government. I mean this is what he knew, that he would be made fun of derided, turned into a laughing stock by the Democrats in Congress, by the president of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt, even though everything he said was true. And Whitaker Chambers would slip into the secret world of communist subversion in Washington DC as a Soviet military Intelligence officer until his defection. And indeed the first contact the first agent that he was to meet on arriving in Washington DC in 1934 was a man named Alger Hiss who would go into the state department and be one of his most important contacts not the only one by a long shot. This is kind of the real story of this period, not that there was a singularly one Alger Hiss and then two Rosenbergs and maybe a couple of other people that we sort of play with from time to time as if they were somehow singular in any way. This has been the dumbing down of our dumb down already history into thinking there were just several players who spied, they stole secrets, is the other big canard of the conventional wisdom, the court historians who dominate this field and indeed were part of the cabal or were the cabal came after American Betrayal. I was opening up the canvas they were busy shrinking it, and that's essentially our disagreement. There were a lot of other pieces of it but that sort of is in brief but they don't want you to know the extent they'd rather that we focus on these few including the Rosenbergs who we're almost beside the point as far as believe me the Soviet Union would have had the atomic bomb, or whatever it was that they ended up having, in that time frame without the Rosenberg. There were so many other scientists involved, there were so many other networks involved, even in America, in Britain, in Canada. This was just a massive leak is not the word. It was just a massive transfer of information and materiel, including through that Land Lease line, which is another reason that that kind of grips me when those who portray land lease as some kind of Russian-American cooperation to defeat Hitler. It was an absolute ransacking of American materiel in all mass Industries, trains, gasoline, oil industry, refineries, all kinds of things, all kinds of precious metals. The lists are in American Betrayal. If you're interested in pursuing that and it also included the transfer against the military embargoes imposed by General Grove of the Los Alamos Atomic Project, the embargo on uranium. Uranium was barely known and there was very little of it in terms of the experimental uranium that was being processed to create these atomic piles, these experimental piles and eventually the bombs that were dropped unnecessarily, as I will argue, on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But there was an embargo on this material and lo and behold it was going out through the Lend Lease as detailed in American betrayal according to extremely important and very valid valuable witness George Racy Jordan who was an administrator, an expeditor of Lend-Lease materiel in Canada going over across Alaska into the Soviet Union, all this stuff. And it's great it's actually quite thrilling story that George Racy Jordan tells with lots of details that we've confirmed and so on. I didn't even mean to go into a big discussion of these details but these are the kinds of facts that the symbolism of Magadan to Lynn lease should be at our fingertips and are not because we have been taught lies Court history and that's where we come back to the big fight over American betrayal so this is how the week started with my own questioning actually of why it is that we still live with these long-ago figures from history, the necessity it seems on the part of the dominant media and voice, to continue denigrating and demonizing Joe McCarthy, Senator Joe McCarthy, for example, which doesn't stop. The man has been dead for nearly 80 years and yet we continue to flog his carcass figuratively speaking although sometimes it actually feels like a strange fetish like it's not so metaphorical. But we just had this play, this prestige play, project, starring George Clooney on Broadway, Good Night and Good Luck, where he plays way past his age plays Edward R. Murrow to go after McCarthy it was a property actually made as a 2005 movie 20 years ago. He felt the need to do it again, and it became one of these events where all the celebrities of the left cycled through: the Obamas, Bono, and all these people come to this and it's almost like they just renew their vows to damn McCarthy to Hell in their own hellscape because, of course, he was our own Patriot who almost turned things around for this country. But again, Oppenheimer why, why did we have to teach the young about this lie that Oppenheimer was not a communist? Of course, he was, and I recently posted further evidence that he was probably an agent of some kind. It's an interesting story that I posted on an eyewitness account of NKVD materiel that did designate Oppenheimer in the vast War chart of espionage as an agent. I mean agent means something alone, agent. Agent means agent. It's not "confidential agent," it's not "agent of War," it's not "agent of influence," it's agent, which is a conscience gatherer and funneler is Secret funneler of information and so on and other activities which are divine and peace of the KGB lexicon but we also have other evidence of his coordination with passing information and so on from other sources. We have to continue to exonerate Oppenheimer in the popular scene. The court historians at this point will tell you, "No, he was a communist after all." They've given us that after decades of fighting that piece of it. But the question becomes why are these figures so important to perpetuate in a situation where most Americans know nothing about anything and yet this has to become part of the popular understanding. Demonize McCarthy, applaud Oppenheimer, the Rosenbergs were guilty. I mean these are the things we are supposed to take with us into the great night ahead, the Utopia ahead. It's actually here. So this is kind of how the week began and I was thinking about these things and I actually made a broadcast for Curtis Bowers agenda weekly which I hope will be up soon talking about some of this at some greater length and then boom all of a sudden couple of days ago up Pops a mention in the most viral clip out there these days millions of views it's a one and a half to two minute clip from a recent Tucker Carlson show with a Cornell chemistry professor, Dave Callum. Dave Columbus someone I've appeared on a show about American betrayal before a year ago or so on the Mike Ferris show which I appeared on several times and Dave Callum has always been very complimentary of American Betrayal. He got a lot of his friends to read it from what I can tell. But in this viral clip the book is actually not mentioned but I am mentioned, Diana West, is the trigger for his doing what he described as he did a mini Daryl Cooper on World War II so Diana West wrote a book and then he mentioned some of the things from my book vaguely without attributing them to my book and talking about doing a "mini Daryl Cooper" on World War II, and coming to a point where you can make the argument, this chemistry professor spitballing, he says, "You can make the argument that we should have supported Hitler in World War II against the Soviets, against Stalin," and then he mentioned something apocryphal
