DR. ANTHONY CHAFFEE: And so when you're eating carbs, you are going to breed for and select for the bacteria that actually rot your teeth.

You eat anything that rots your teeth, that's the wrong thing.  Animals in the wild don't have dentists.  The bacteria in your mouth that should be there, your oral biome, if you're eating something that cultivates the wrong oral biome that rots your teeth, you are eating the wrong thing by definition.  Your mouth health, your oral health, is a window to your overall health and especially your cardiovascular health.  And so when you're eating carbs, you are going to breed for and select for the bacteria that actually rot your teeth. So we know that carbs are not part of our biological diet because of that fact.
