Lead is a heavy metal that is linked to all sorts of massive problems in humans--heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney issues. In kids, behavioral issues, neurodevelopmental problems, decreased IQ, learning difficulties, all kinds of issues. You do not want to be consuming lead. Most of us know this, but cinnamon is very often contaminated with lead.
So what's the solution? In the caption of this video, I'll put a number of cinnamons that came up very low for lead. These would be the safest ones to consume. Saladino writes,
