History is full of warnings that people laughed off until it was too late. When you think about bad actors who wish us harm as a nation, they don't need you to agree with them; they just need to convince you that any criticism of their movement while they advance on you should just be laughed off and not taken seriously. Barack Obama,
Par for the course is running all kinds of scary ads to make you think Democrats are radicals or communist or jihadist or the woke police that will come arrest you and force feed you tofu instead of hamburgers.
Ladies and gentlemen, that is the point of the joke. If people are laughing, it means that they're not thinking. Instead, Obama is passing this off as something that we should just laugh at, something that we shouldn't even take seriously.
So what's the tactic that he's using here? Number one you want to exaggerate a legitimate concern to the point where it seems absurd. And then you mock the exaggeration instead of answering the very real question that you should be answering. The DSA has already told us that they're communists. So by default, people who are a part of the DSA, you should just look at their Manifesto and their page and you can see exactly what they want to do, so that's not absurd. They're plainly saying that their communists.
As it relates to Abdul El-Sayed and the comments about his affiliations [ with the Muslim Brotherhood], they never sit down and say, "Hey, there are some legitimate concerns. Can you walk us through this?" No they just say, "This is ridiculous." It's the same thing that Abdul El-Sayed does when he's asked about his affiliations [with Muslim Brotherhood]. He just says, "Is that a real question?" like you are utterly obnoxious and ridiculous for even asking him this. Basically, what we have here is a former president using his star power to laugh off a serious question thus making the audience around him stop asking questions because they will feel ridiculous if they actually take it seriously. And this is exactly why this is so dangerous and why I've said time and time again that voting for Barack Obama was a mistake, that he is not who he purports to be. Why else would you laugh off questions of communists invading the Democratic Party? Why else would you scoff or laugh at accusations about things that could quite literally disrupt or destroy our national security and our safety that we have here in the United States? You're trying to encourage people to stop paying attention and turn valid concerns into a punchline. History is full of warnings that people laughed off until it was too late. When you think about bad actors who wish us harm as a nation, they don't need you to agree with them; they just need to convince you that any criticism of their movement while they advance on you should just be laughed off and not taken seriously. And that's how they win.
