His name is Vivek Ramaswamy. Andrew Ross Sorkin is the Squawk Box moderator along with his peep squeak "you're conflating" co-host, Becky Quick.
How do conspiracy theories of the Paul Pelosi "attack" lead to violence? Theories mean someone is asking questions, conjecturing motives, etcetera, the way a detective would. The fact that people are thinking is the very antithesis of violence. Violence occurs when you can no longer talk to someone. Violence is a substitute for speech. The host is an idiot.

Do the companies bear some responsibility for the conspiracy theories that crop up around an event? Oh, brother. This is like prosecuting Alex Jones in the court of public opinion. Which elites and billionaires are so petrified of Elon Musk's platform? Who is so afraid of Twitter being used and encouraged to out his enemies? This should be fun.
If a company calls something false speech or fake news, that company bears the burden if proof to to show that ut is so.
You can't have categories of hate speech because all opinions are allowed. Good point. Once you designate some speech as hate it comes with its own set if consequences that both inhibit but taunt participants and you'll have to assign a whole legal body to it as well.
One of those threats to democracy is the centralized determination of truth.
BTW, Here's an intervention we haven't talked about. The government is coordinating with Twitter, with Facebook, etc. to direct critics of the government to be silenced. I think this is also a threat to democracy . . . .
The discussion was part of a lengthier segment.
