Scott Mechkowski, Former ICE Agent.  Visiting Fellow / Oversight Project.

Grant Stinchfield.

STINCHFIELD:  How's my analysis?  Because I look at that and say, "O, my God!  Are the terrorists all of a sudden flooding here?  But that's not really the case, is it?

MECHKOWSKI:  no I have a real issue with all of this being on the job for so long and seeing this first hand it's just so disheartening that the president his administration was handed basically a Bible on how this all goes down.  What we should be focused on.  And these numbers are nothing more than . . . it's just fanfare, right?  You saw the Visa overstays.  I mean the 911 Commission back on 9/11 they pointed out where the problems were 104,000 terrorists related leads and only a dozen were acted upon or even arrested.  And then you want to know why we couldn't even find the unaccompanied children same problem same issue so it's just really a shame that this is still going on.

STINCHFIELD:  all right so when you look at these overseas and you'll hear I know what you're going to hear from those on the left you'll hear many Republicans say let's start with the worst of the worst I have a problem with that philosophy because you have to go in my opinion after every single person that is here illegally and sure there are worse than others but if you ignore one side you're going to have a whole set of problems on our hands, Scott.

MECHKOWSKI: 100% listen think about this they use our framework the 911 terrorists used our immigration system they use the processes knowing that nobody prioritize them and look what they did it was a catastrophic event here in the United States you'd think we learn from that it's not about the worst of the worst anymore it's never been any immigration violator needs to be dealt with and they need to be dealt with in accordance with the law and if Congress doesn't like it then Congress should go back and do their job and rewrite it.  But if you are an overstay . . . , and listen, let's get this right. B because they made a legal entry they gained the system by filing all these other add-on petitions later on.  I mean that's a huge problem.

STINCHFIELD:  here's what worries me president Trump has clearly done a great job along with your fellow border patrol agents of course securing the southern border the cartel is in Fitz I saw a piece that they're using live living horses to smuggle drugs into the country and then I saw a piece that they are now contemplating kidnapping abducting border patrol officers I would have imagined this was always a threat but do you think it's more of a threat now than ever?

MECHKOWSKI: I mean I don't put anything past the cartel, right.  They're resourceful.  One thing about the cartel is that they're always a step ahead of us because we are always reactive; we're not proactive we have so much intelligence innocent in this country along the Southwest border agents you know you're right the brave men and women of the border patrol deserve a lot of credit they were taken out of their mission by the Biden ministration along with the enforcement interior enforcement agents and they were held to process family units and millions of illegals that were coming through the Border and taken off their posts.  You know, we don't know who is in this country.  I mean I challenge anybody to tell me that they can undoubtedly say they don't even know how many people are here we don't know I mean look the cartel will always use anything they can to get illicit drugs and their stuff through the Border.  It's always been . . . .

STINCHFIELD:  real quick in 30 seconds if you can for me what's the one tip you would give Tom Holman his ice agents and Border Patrol that you would like to see them Institute tomorrow to make America safer on this subject?

MECHKOWSKI:  Listen, institute worksite enforcement.  Get e-verified done.  Mass deportations means Mass deportations, not Mass importations.  What you need to do is everybody is on the table and it doesn't matter as long as they have they've gotten due process they've been through the system they need to go we need a full reset.

STINCHFIELD: I'm right there with you on that and workplace enforcement maybe the number one on my priority because you've got to go after employers as well and stop incentivizing them hiring all these illegals too Scott Makowski it's great to see you my friend thank you for coming on as always.
