The ghoulish Left reading her Charlie Kirk version of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."
Not an apology. Will a legal statement suffice? This is why you must go vote for common sense conservatives. The Left wants to kill us. I’m not surprised that for over a year the radical left has mocked, celebrated, and justified Charlie Kirk’s assassination. For more than a decade they have played fast and loose with labels like Nazi, fascist, and racist against ordinary conservatives. They have lied about our positions, demonized us as existential threats to democracy, and treated disagreement itself as violence. Those weren’t just insults thrown for effect. They created the conditions in which Charlie Kirk, a man who showed up for conversation, could be murdered for being effective. He made arguments, sought common humanity, and refused to hate the people who hated him. The left couldn’t tolerate that, so they celebrated the bullet that stopped it. That same spirit has not faded. It has continued. Just this week, a transgender individual at the University of Utah told College Republicans, “I think Republicans should be shot in the street,” then assaulted one of them. At a Turning Point USA open-mic event in Texas, a student recited a poem she called a “Kirkiversary,” gleefully referencing the fatal shot to Charlie Kirk’s neck and telling the speaker he was “brave” for appearing without a neck brace. In Oregon, Alex Stein’s TPUSA event was met with protesters screaming “fascist scum,” “Nazi,” and “we all fucking hate you,” with at least one sign mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination and multiple arrests for disorderly conduct and harassment. Protesters also directed vulgar sexual insults at Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk. Earlier this year, a man in Texas was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat after he allegedly posted online threats to bomb a Turning Point USA event and kill Erika Kirk along with other speakers. Locally, a Democrat volunteer liked a post expressing a desire to see ICE supporters in body bags. That same volunteer also mocked and criticized us for attempting to have a civil dialogue with them at the county fair in which she likened us to monsters and continued to use the aforementioned rhetoric to demonize us. These are not isolated fringe comments. They are the logical outcome of years of dehumanizing rhetoric that labels conservatives as enemies rather than fellow citizens. Political disagreement has been replaced by open hostility, celebration of murder, and explicit calls for violence. We reject this. Political violence and the gleeful endorsement of it have no place in a free society. The only peaceful, constitutional answer is at the ballot box. Vote early tomorrow. Vote on Election Day. Vote Republican down the ballot in the midterms. The radical elements that mock assassinations, call for Republicans to be shot, and cheer on political violence will not stop on their own. They stop when we show up and reject them.
