CARNIVORE TEACHER ALPHA: Carbohydrate poisoning isn’t about one meal—it’s about chronic exposure and what it does to your metabolism over time.

Let me say something bold right out of the gate carbohydrate poisoning is real now I'm not talking about eating a blueberry and dropping dead I'm talking about chronic exposure, day after day meal after meal year after year.  And what does that do to your body over time?  Because when you flood your system with carbohydrates, especially refined ones, you're not just eating food you're triggering a hormonal Cascade that affects every system in your body.  Today I'm going to walk you through exactly what happens and all the conditions that can develop when your body is constantly overloaded with carbohydrates.

SECTION I:  What Is Carbohydrate Poisoning? 

Carbohydrate poisoning isn't a medical diagnosis it's a way of describing chronic metabolic overload every single time you eat carbs especially sugars and starches your body converts them into glucose.  That glucose raises your blood sugar and your body responds by releasing insulin.  And here's the key insulin is not just a blood sugar hormone it's a storage hormone.  It tells your body to store fat, to stop burning fat, to lock energy away, and when this happens repeatedly you start developing insulin resistance where your cells stop responding properly, and that is the beginning of the downward spiral.  

SECTION II:  The Domino Effect that follows.  

Once insulin resistance sets in, it doesn't stay isolated; it spreads, like a crack in a foundation.  Here's what starts to develop.  

#1: Metabolic Syndrome.  

This is the cluster: belly fat, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, low HDL, elevated blood sugar.  And here's the truth.  High carbohydrate intake has been associated with increased risk of metabolic syndrome and abdominal obesity.

When insulin resistance progresses, blood sugar stays elevated.  Insulin levels stay chronically high, and the pancreas gets overworked.  Eventually the system breaks.  And studies show that higher carbohydrate intake is linked to greater incidents of type 2 diabetes especially when combined with obesity.

#3:  Obesity and Fat Storage Dysregulation.  

This is where the carbohydrate insulin model comes in.  High glycemic carbs spike insulin, drive fat storage, increase hunger, lower energy expenditure.  It's not just calories, it's hormones.  And this hormonal environment promotes fat accumulation and persistent hunger.
