NICK MINOCK: Governor Abigail Spanerger's parole board granted 48 convicts parole. That's almost one in four, 23%, a significant jump from Governor Youngkin's board which granted parole to just under two out of 100 felons, 2%, who requested it.

SHOW NOTES

🚨New: Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s hand-picked parole board released eight out of ten felons during Thursday’s parole meeting. These are people who were convicted of murder, rape, robbery and child abuse. Many of them had decades left on their life sentences. WJLA analyzed all of Spanberger’s parole board’s decisions since their first meeting. I found that out of the 205 discretionary and geriatric parole cases the board considered, Spanberger’s board granted 48 felons parole. That’s almost ONE in FOUR felons who requested early release being granted parole.

It's a significant jump compared to former Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s parole board.

TRANSCRIPT

Early in her term, Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger fired all of former Governor Glenn Yunkin's parole board members and chose her own, hand-picked replacements.  On Thursday, during their monthly meeting, that group agreed to release 8 out of 10 felons on parole.  This group includes murderers, rapists, and child predators, many who had decades left on their sentences.

On Thursday, Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger parole board released a man who spent the last 33 years in prison just a fraction of the three life sentences he was serving for cutting the power to the home of a couple in their 70s before breaking in and murdering them.  Their grandson pleaded with the board not to release the man but they did.  The board also released a bank robber who shot at a teller and a witness and the board released a man who murdered a relative by stabbing them in the head.  They also decided to parole three convicted rapists and predators.  7News looked at all of Governor Spanberger's parole board decisions since its first meeting in May.  Out of the 205 discretionary and geriatric parole cases the board considered, Spanerger's board granted 48 convicts parole.  That's almost one in four, 23%, a significant jump from Governor Youngkin's board which granted parole to just under two out of 100 felons, 2%, who requested it.

Paige Mead is a victim's advocate.

I think it's horrifying and I think anybody in our Commonwealth should be scared for their safety at the alarming rate with which we are letting out violent offenders.

Paige is a victim of a serial rapist in Prince William County who is eligible for parole right now even though he was sentenced to two life terms [minimum 50 years in prison] plus 20 years.

I am terrified that under this new Administration and her parole board what I'm going to end up having to do is go every single year until a group of people the most horrifying thing that ever happened in my life, details which are terrible that I don't love to relive just to keep him in prison.  And honestly, I'm terrified that they're going to let him go.

Today I reached out to governor Spanberger's office, I asked "As governor and a former federal law enforcement officer, does she approve of her parole board's handling of these cases?"  We'll let you know when we receive a response.

SENATOR ERIC SCHMITT, R-MO: America is not a global refugee camp. America is not a get rich scheme for the 3rd world. America is our home.

America is not a global refugee camp.  America is not a get rich scheme for the 3rd world.  America is our home.  And when houseguests become squatters, you don't delay enforcement you call the sheriff and you send them home.  That's exactly what we must do here today.  If Democrats want 350,000 Haitians to stay permanently, they should say it plainly.  Introduce a bill.  Put your name on it. Vote for the permanent status then explain that vote to the American people.  Quit with the games.  But stop calling permanent immigration "temporary."  The voters are not stupid, and they already made their choice.  The voters demanded enforcement.  President Trump is delivering on that.  But Democrats are fighting to keep the same old scam alive.  Mr. President, I have the power to stop this nonsense bill and I'm going to use it.  That's why I'm here today.  So I object to the bill which would keep 350,000 Haitians here permanently.  I object to changing temporary to permanent.  I object to flooding American communities with cheap foreign labor.  I object to treating foreigners as the priority and Americans as the afterthought.  I object to mass migration.  Temporary must mean temporary.  And elections have consequences; therefore, Mr President, I object.  --Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO).

THE LAST REFUGE: Each of these are election years. In each election year professional Democrats deploy the same process to generate support from "suburban women voters", also known as AWFLS.

I hope people have caught on by now. However, just in case, let me try to help: In 2010 it was Sandra Fluke In 2012 it was Romney's "binders of women" In 2014 it was the 'Me Too" movement In 2016 it was "Grab them by the pussy" (Trump) In 2018 it was E Jean Carroll (Trump) In 2020 it was Amy Dorris (Trump) In 2022 it was Matt Gaetz, Hershel Walker In 2024 it was Jeffrey Epstein et al In 2026 it is "Cornell 7" Each of these are election years. In each election year professional Democrats deploy the same process to generate support from "suburban women voters", also known as AWFLS. These are women voters typically from middle to upper-middle-class backgrounds, who are perceived as politically liberal or left-leaning, often vocal about social justice issues and engaged in activism or virtue signaling. Their gender identity defines them. In order to generate support, or activate this specific voter base, women's issues and/or sexual misconduct is utilized as a trigger mechanism. Once the election is over, the emphasis and narrative disappears...... until the next election cycle. Wash - Rinse - Repeat. If you cannot see the pattern by now, you are politically oblivious. However, once you see it you can never unsee it. Hope that helps.
