She indicts illegal immigrants, "crisis at our southern borders," and companies that hire illegal migrants.  But so what?  Who is she serving?  Her jeremiads are so vague.

I would like to correct the record.  It was Obama-Biden who built the cages, aka, "chain link partitions" used by border patrol stations as a safety measure to guard against things like sexual assault.  I know that we heard earlier that Trump built cages.  That is simply not true.  And as is also as seen behind me, it was Biden who put kids in shipping containers, something that the media wanted to fact check, but as you can see, these are shipping containers. Now it's no secret that there's a crisis at our Southern border.  Mayorkis was actually caught on a hot mic a couple of years ago saying that these numbers were unsustainable.  We have approximately 325,000 children enter the US under the Biden Administration and these are unaccompanied minors a majority of the time and it's vastly between these ports of Entry Mr chairman I would ask for unanimous consent to enter these two Graphics into the record the Biden Administration does not want to acknowledge these facts and they certainly don't want to know who is coming into our country it has been estimated that a shocking 60% of Latin American children who crossed the border are caught by cartels and exploited for child pornography and drug trafficking which would be roughly about 200,000 kids under this Administration.  As representative Andy Biggs had stated because of a letter that he received, 42,577 children have been lost.  

01:26.  Before I go on to my next point, Chief Chavez, can you tell me the youngest age of a known rape victim that you've come across, or that you've heard of?  

01:33.  CHAVEZ.  I don't have the age ma'am.  I know that when we go to the Central Processing Center in El Paso, my intelligence agents, as well as Homeland Security investigations agents, they do the debriefs at the Center.

01:46.  Do you have minors that are raped when crossing the border?  Has it been an occurrence that has happened to either Chief Chavez or Chief Maudlin?  

02:00.  President Trump has expanded . . . President Trump did expand biometrics collection to include a DNA testing pilot program, and fingerprinted children under the age of 14 to crack down on child smuggling and migrants posing as fake families.  And I hear a lot of rhetoric saying that was wrong for people to separate children.  But I, as a Hispanic woman and a veteran, think that it is the right thing to do to separate children until you can biologically confirm that they are not being handed over into the hands of traffickers and it is grossly irresponsible to hand those children that we might not have any idea if they're actually biologically related. Chief Maudlin, would you agree that you would rather have a child be confirmed to be a known family member than release them into the hands of a trafficker?  

02:43.  MAUDLIN.  I would agree.  Anything that helps us determine the actual familial bond is positive.

02:50.  So with my follow-up question on this one.  Are children currently having their biometric data being collected under this Administration?

02:58.  MAUDLIN.  It depends on the age of the children, but 14 and above they are . . . as I testified to earlier, in the Tucson sector, the vast majority are 17-year-old Guatemalan males.  It's fairly rare to see unaccompanied females in Tucson.

03:12.  Are you able to collect at every sector in every section of the border? 

03:17.  MAUDLIN.  I can't speak for the other sectors, ma'am . . . 

03:21.  CHAVEZ.  We do the same thing in RGV.

03:23.  I would just like to also to ask one more thing. A large part of your job is engaging . . . catching those that are engaging in human smuggling and trafficking.  Do you believe that with more funding that you could do your job better? 

03:37.  MAUDLIN.  Ma'am, I absolutely believe with more funding that we can do our own job, we can do our job better.  Absolutely. 

03:45.  I want to close with this because I know that we are limited on time here.  For any member of this House of Representatives advocating to defund border patrol and I.C.E., not only are you complicit and engaging in aiding and abetting traffickers, but you are hurting minority children.  At that and with my final question, can you please tell me are a majority of border patrol agents white or Hispanic?

04:07. MAUDLIN.  Ma'am my understanding is that the majority of border patrol agents are Hispanic, and as I've stated earlier, most of them are either first-generation migrants or migrants themselves.

04:19.  I will close with this.  Clearly, we don't have a white supremacy history in this country.  Clearly, it's an illegal immigration one.  Thank you for your service, and please tell your counterparts.  God bless them.

The information from a source just sent to me working the fire zone is extremely troubling. “Deputies have been working 18-20 hour shifts for a week at this point, walking through rubble and ash, looking for remains and recovering items. We have been taking boots and uniforms home to our families and young children that are covered in cancerous particulates for over a week because the department failed to warn us of the risks. Deputies have had to source their own masks from fire and other agencies because LASD has not been providing them. Many deputies have developed chronic and persistent coughs and respiratory problems since working the fires. I know of several that have gone to urgent care with difficulty breathing after deployments in the burn zones. We had to find out from the fire department that the air was unsafe, our own department didn’t bother to tell us. Meanwhile, we still haven’t heard a peep from our union ALADS about any of this……they are too busy schmoozing with absent sheriff Luna at a BBQ. The entire operation is a mess. The CP (command post) is at the Rose Bowl but they are having deputies respond to the Hansen Dam which is 30 minutes away from the deployment area. At the command post deputies are getting orders on paper like it’s the 1980s and then being sent out (another 30-minute drive back) randomly to relieve guys and girls who have been out there for sometimes in excess of 20 hours. Deputies who were on missions to look for remains or recover items and were required to walk through burned-down buildings were not offered masks and were not given the opportunity to decontaminate or clean their uniforms and boots at the end of their assignments. Morale is below zero. Everyone is exhausted, haven’t seen their families, and have NO CONFIDENCE in our “leadership”. And yet another story for you @DrPatSoonShiong @latimes Is the convicted felon you still have covering the LA County Sheriff’s Department interested in stealing this story?

QUESTION: Your comment on how you had the mandate from Hong Kong to negotiate with Australia, and the PM would not allow them in because they would vote conservative, has highlighted this entire agenda from the Democrats. They are destroying our country. Will Biden grant them voting rights to suppress those of us who work for a living? 

ANSWER: It is far worse than that. Most states can’t even restrict voting. Illegal aliens are included in the census. That means the Electoral College votes are allocated by the census, and seats in the House of Representatives are also based on the census. If all Americans left California and they are all illegals, they still get the largest vote as illegals. If we look at the 2020 census, Texas has gained two more votes in Congress and the Electoral College for the next decade. Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon each gained one seat, based on the 2020 census. The seven states that lost one vote each were California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. That is because real Americans are fleeing the Blue States.

This is getting so outrageous, you just can’t make up this shit anymore. A judge in Washington, DC, the land of Marxists, actually threw out a challenge against allowing noncitizens to vote in the election. These Democrats are determined to win, and they do not care about the law or the people. Why can’t Canadians, Europeans, Russians, Chinese, and everyone else vote in the 2024 election if there is NO requirement to be a citizen?

This is outright treason against the American people. They are even starting to replace American workers, reducing the cost of labor. Biden has been shipping illegals around the country to strategic places to overthrow Republican states. This is not simply an invasion; it is an attempted coup to overthrow the United States, including its Constitution. The Biden Administration attacks any state that tries to enforce voter ID to prove you are an American. The audacity of the Attorney General to claim requiring voter ID is not necessary so they can carry out this treason against real Americans. We will have no choice but to separate blue vs. red states. There is simply no other alternative. Civilization ONLY survives when everyone benefits. The Democrats do not care that their ideas are anti-religious, anti-culture, and anti-democratic. They MUST impose their agenda regardless of the cost. The rich have become anyone with a job.

This is why there is a growing sense of doom. But this is also engulfing Europe. Those who are supposed to represent us only represent themselves and the agenda. They are told how to vote without ever knowing what the real agenda will be, 

The Founding Fathers understood tyranny, but, unfortunately, the FAKE NEWS of Cicero so enchanted them that they wrongly assumed that a Republic was the best form of government when it was the most corrupt, just as we see today. Even that theme has been used in movies like Star Wars, where the republic is fighting against the empire. Throughout history, this will end in the only way it ever has – the “republic” will collapse.

Then we have companies firing Americans so they can hire illegal aliens on the cheap. This is getting completely out of control, and Americans have to wake up. Then again, the computer will be right, and there will be a time when separation is the only solution. Over one-third of the people in Alaska want to separate from the United States. The same is rising in Florida and Texas, with other states joining rapidly.

Representative Anna Luna happens to be in my district.  She has been putting up a good fight, but she is outnumbered.

I am finishing an important book on this subject illustrating the TRUTH from contemporary accounts and even using the coinage to provide the real version of why Caesar was compelled to Cross the Rubicon in the middle of a DEBT CRISIS, and the people cheered. HEROIC: NON-LICENSED DOCTOR SAVED THOUSANDS OF INFANTS AND CHANGED MEDICAL HISTORY

When Marion Conlin gave birth to twins earlier than expected in a Brooklyn hospital in May 1920, one of her babies was already dead. Her doctor bluntly told the woman and her husband, Woolsey, “Don’t rush to bury that one, because you will need to bury the other one too . . . She’s not going to live the day.”

But Woolsey was not giving up on the other so easily.

The couple had honeymooned the previous year in Atlantic City, and Woolsey recalled a sideshow exhibit featuring prematurely born babies whose lives were saved right there on the Boardwalk. Resting in new machines called incubators, the babies made medical history while serving as a prime attraction for gawking tourists.

Woolsey also remembered hearing that the same doctor had set up a similar exhibit in Coney Island. So while their own doctor tried to convince them that all was lost, Woolsey grabbed his 2-pound daughter, ran from the hospital and hailed a cab, hoping the Coney Island sideshow could save her life.

A new book, The Strange Case of Dr. Couney: How a Mysterious European Showman Saved Thousands of American Babies, by Dawn Raffel (Blue Rider Press), tells the story of Martin Couney, a self-appointed “doctor”—his credentials turned out to be nonexistent—who nonetheless saved thousands of infants, and introduced incubators to the modern world.

What little is known about Martin Couney is that he was born in Prussia in 1869 as Michael Cohn and changed his name after immigrating to New York at 18.

He does not appear to have had any medical credentials, and while he often claimed to be a protege of the world-renowned French doctor Pierre-Constant Budin, who popularized incubators in Europe, there is no evidence for this claim.

What is true is that whatever his motive, he spent 40 years as the only medical hope for parents of babies born too early in New York City and beyond. Raffel estimates he saved between 6,500 and 7,000 lives.

Incubators were invented in Europe in the late 19th century, the evolution of innovations from Russia, Germany and France. Couney claimed that in 1896, Budin, an actual pioneer in the field, sent him to display incubators at the Great Industrial Exhibition of Berlin. Rather than stand next to empty machines, Couney, referring to the displays as “child hatchery,” said he realized how much more effective it would be if they housed actual babies being saved for the public to see.

The truth about where Couney first encountered these machines, and his motivation for making them the great cause of his life, is unknown. Raffel believes he did not attend the 1896 exhibition at all, but heard about it, and became associated with the machines soon after.

“The exhibition in Berlin made a big splash,” Raffel says. “It was written up in newspapers all over the place, including the United States, and showmen started becoming interested in it.”

However it began, Couney toured the machines around America and established a show in Coney Island in 1903, one block away from the Luna Park amusement park.

The exhibit ran in that general area for the next 40 years. Visitors were charged a quarter to view the babies, and the money went to their care.

As one might expect, people didn’t know what to make of the exhibit at first.

A reporter for the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper, in a story headlined “Strangest Place on Earth for Human Tots to be Fed, Nursed and Cared For,” wrote that the idea of “haranguing the passing throng in an effort to divert its shekels for a spectacle so serious, not to say sacred, strikes one as questionable, almost repellent.” But by the end of the piece, the author’s impression had turned positive, praising the care the children received.

Couney hired barkers to stand outside the exhibit and attract customers, screaming slogans like, “Don’t forget to see the babies!” In 1922, one of his barkers was a young British actor named Archibald Leach, who later changed his name to Cary Grant.

Couney himself developed into quite the showman, hamming it up for the press and the crowds.

“Every blistering, footsore day, he would station himself at the door to his show — ‘All the world loves a baby! Once seen, never forgotten!’ ” Raffel writes. “He never got tired of talking to the public, not even the Dummkopfs who deduced he’d made the little critters. (‘Hiya, Doc, where’dja get the eggs?’) Sometimes they wanted to order one fresh for themselves.”

But for all his showbiz, Couney was in the lifesaving business, and he took it seriously. The exhibit was immaculate. When new children arrived, dropped off by panicked parents who knew Couney could help them where hospitals could not, they were immediately bathed, rubbed with alcohol and swaddled tight, then “placed in an incubator kept at 96 or so degrees, depending on the patient. Every two hours, those who could suckle were carried upstairs on a tiny elevator and fed by breast by wet nurses who lived in the building. The rest [were fed by] a funneled spoon.”

Even the nurses — whose genuine medical degrees helped make up for the absence of Couney’s in instances such as signing death certificates — understood that maintaining the show business of it all was key to keeping the operation alive. They would often feed or bathe the babies where people could watch, and one nurse would “flash a diamond ring and slip it over an infant’s wrist, all the way up its skinny arm, to demonstrate scale.”

While Couney couldn’t save every baby, Raffel writes that “most of the patients went home in a couple of months.” It’s unverified since Couney never published anything or left any records of his work, but he claimed an 85 percent survival rate, once saying most deaths occurred within 24 to 48 hours of his receiving a baby.

“If we have a child for seven days in our charge,” he said, “we never lose it.”

Despite Couney’s success, there were numerous ways this type of endeavor could lead to tragedy. When St. Louis planned their 1904 World’s Fair, they decided they wanted an incubator exhibit, but not Couney.

They contracted the lowest bidder, a doctor named Joseph Hardy who “was fully licensed and apparently utterly ignorant of how to care for a preemie.” After the exhibit had been open for a bit, a Humane Society examination found that out of 43 children cared for, 39 had died. Couney published an open letter in the New York Evening Journal calling it “the crime of the decade” and claiming Hardy and his staff “did not know the difference between an incubator and a peanut roaster.” While changes were made, including hiring a new doctor, the exhibit stayed open.

In time, Couney offered genuine evidence of his success. He held reunions, inviting children who been saved in his incubators. In 1909 in Chicago, he even held a “best preemie” competition.

“That Sunday morning, the children were brought in dressed in their finest attire,” Raffel writes. “Ruffles and ribbons, buttons and bows. Martin, fluent in baby talk as any other tongue, was having the time of his life.”

The winner, a 3-year-old named Burton who was judged the “healthiest, handsomest, and best-developed,” was awarded a little red wagon.

Sometimes, his successes came to him. At the 1939 World’s Fair, he was approached by a 19-year-old woman who said she was one of the babies he had saved. Her name was Lucille Conlin. She was Marion and Woolsey Conlin’s surviving daughter. She went on to become a nurse.

Throughout his decades of saving babies, Couney understood there were better options. He tried to sell, or even donate, his incubators to hospitals, but they didn’t want them. He even offered all his incubators to the city of New York in 1940 but was turned down.

Raffel offers several possible reasons for this. The difficulty of operating the machines was one.

“Doctors didn’t have the resources or trained personnel to use [incubators] properly,” she says. “An incubator is a labor-intensive process. You had to have specially trained nurses and a low nurse-to-patient ratio. It was too much work for them.”

Given the popularity of eugenics in the US at the time, there also wasn’t much sympathy for these children.

“You had a raging climate of eugenics which did not directly target preemies, but did directly target children who had severe disabilities,” Raffel says. “It was an environment where we only wanted to produce the fittest babies. That was a very strong cultural undercurrent. People just felt like these children were not worth saving.”

Couney died in 1950 at age 80. That he had closed his exhibit only seven years prior is a testament both to his dedication to helping children, and the failure of the medical establishment to take on the crucial job of saving their lives.

“In 1943, Cornell New York Hospital opened the city’s first dedicated premature infant station,” Raffel writes. “That same year, Dr. Martin Couney closed his show for the final time. He said his work was done.”
