ANTHONY CHAFFEE, MD: Remember that your hormones like testosterone and estrogen are made out of cholesterol, and avoiding fat will make all hormones suffer. Eating carbs raises insulin and insulin resistance, which suppresses testosterone in men and estrogen in women.
