1) DOES SARS-CoV-2 ELICIT A DAMP RESPONSE AND NOT A PAMP RESPONSE? It all comes back to Helminths. Parasitic infection. Is the response to SARS-CoV-2 a DAMP response and NOT a PAMP response? The virus tends not to induce a Type 1 interferon response. Just as in Helminth
