They (CDC) carried out a study in 1999 that found a direct correlation between . . . mercury in vaccines and speech and learning disorders and autism in kids, and the first thing they did was look for a way to invalidate that finding.  Eventually, they reformatted [how] they used the data--they called it Phase II--and the new finding wiped out the old one.
