Fasting, you don't lose weight you lose impurities, and everybody that hear us talking now tonight when they go to sleep will go on a fast.  Once you go to sleep, the body goes on a fast. When you wake up meet your first meal, we call it breakfast.  It's breaking the fast.  When you tell people that, you say, "Why don't you go home and fast?"  And they'll go home and say, "I heard Dick Gregory say I want to fast."  They say, "Well, did you check with the doctor?"  You know, you don't check with a doctor when you do Coke.  You don't check with the doctor when you do alcohol.  All the things that I ever did to corrupt my body, I never check with nobody. Someone asked me the other day, some news station said, "You know, you've been fasting for 30-some years.  What is your doctor think?  My doctor's been dead 27 years.

I'm a be honest with you, fasting is the cure for everything.  When your body don't have nothing to eat, it's going to eat all your bad cells up cuz it's going into fight or flight.  And when it eats your bad cells, your body releases hydrogen.  And you know we breathe in oxygen sure. So I'll be wondering, like, damn I done went all day without eating and drinking, but I'm still pissing.  Like, why am I pissing?  We create our own water.  When's the fast, sun's up to down?  That's when most people do it--from sunup to sundown.  But I like to do it to where when I break my fast it's just with liquids.  I like that liquid diet.

CARY KELLY: Americans' inability to go 4 waking hours without eating something is an insult to our physiology.

"Three meals a day" was created by the Rockefeller Foundation.  Our ancestors didn't eat three times a day. If they eat three times a week that was a lot.  Your body was meant to be in a fasted state.  Why do you heal when you sleep? Because you're fasted.  Your body is able to take the energy that it normally would take if it was breaking down and assimilating food; instead, it's putting it towards healing and rejuvenating the body.  If you're feeling sick, don't go to the white coat who has no idea what he's talking about.  Throw a 36-hour fast at it.  Stem cells are activated.  They go to the area of injury.  They go to the areas that need healing. Your body thrives in a fasted state.  If you're a woman, you fast differently than a man does.  Don't buy into the three meals a day.  It was created to keep you fat, lazy, and relying on the Rockefeller food system. Never should obesity be instituted.

I don't know if fasting is for everyone. And if it is, I don't know what fasting approach is best

Intermittent fasting will benefit beginners.  But multiple-day fasting will really boost your energy and help gauge your health or illness, which you can't always perceive when you're eating 3 meals a day.  I'm not even sure that eating 3 meals a day is the correct prescription.  If you're eating carnivores with saturated fats, organ meats, eggs, you may not even need to eat so frequetly in the day, depending on your stress levels at work or your previous health status.   

Thought I think the gentleman below makes sense, I feel uneasy about posting someone whose name I don't know or a post in which the poster can't identify the speaker.  Ironically, I guess I am doing the same thing.
