I don't know. Are we getting three versions of Trump's plan for Gaza, one for the American people, another for Netanyahu, yet another for the Arab world? This story suggests Trump will take over Gaza completely as a restoration project for, who else, himself, where the clearing and building phases might used as a jobs program for surviving Palestinians. Doesn't sound like it'll be a clean-up and rebuild operation for the Israelis. Whitney Webb's assessment could be the accurate one.
Netanyahu appears uncomfortable, but if this plan had already in the works for years, his discomfort is just a role he's playing to give gravitas to Trump's plan. Is the only thing that the U.S. government can build is forts around the Middle East? Biden couldn't build a pier.
A US "long term ownership plan" of Gaza is just a nicer way of saying another US long-term military occupation of the Middle East on behalf of Israel. If you think this will bring "stability" to the Middle East, you learned nothing from the "War on Terror" era at all.
