Accumulating evidence indicate that clinical depression accelerates aging and telomere shortening. Given the clinical evidence supporting the efficacy of psilocybin for these conditions, it is plausible that psilocybin may impact telomere length. However, no prior studies have experimentally investigated the direct impact of psilocybin on biological aging.
