BEACONS, Building Evidence and Collaboration for Genomics in Nationwide Newborn Screening, NBS [Newborn Screening].  7 States participating: Iowa, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, North Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico.  Plan is to test feasibility of sequencing newborns at birth.  The term "sequencing" isn't always familiar to listeners.  What sequencing really means is going into the DNA and laying out the entire genetic blueprint of the child.  The whole idea here is to add genomic sequencing to the current state newborn screening program.

If you have a real ID in your pocket if you've got a star card or gold star card go replace it there are 45 states that don't require you to have a real ID and most people don't even know don't even know they have a real ID but if they understood that they have a real ID and they're now part of the real ID system which will eventually clamp down on them then they should realize that we can't let them get to the Tipping Point where they can just impose it all across the country for everything.

CAROLYN BETTS.  I have some advice for anybody going and wanting to get a driver's license that it's not a real ID week heard a story from a subscriber who got the real ID didn't understand what happened she went back to change it into a regular driver's license and was told by the DMV representative that they only issued real IDs and his wife had given him a copy of the website of the DMV that said you didn't have to do it and he had that with him that's the only way that he got cooperation and getting a regular license.
