11.4 grams of beef. That's how much nursing home residents in Copenhagen Municipality are allowed to eat per day, to avoid exceeding the weekly limit of 80 grams. According to a politician from Alternativet [Denmark's Green Party], it's because our elderly have been the biggest climate sinners throughout their lives. And therefore, they must be punished. So there's only enough beef for half a frikadelle per day. I find it so grotesque that it's hard to put into words. What the hell do these self-righteous climate fanatics actually think they're doing? Our elderly have toiled and labored their whole lives. Built a fantastic society for all of us. And now they're being punished with draconian beef rations in the holy name of the climate. I think it's undignified. Embarrassing. And totally unacceptable. Because no, we're not saving the entire world by having our elderly eat only 11.4 grams of beef per day. Denmark emits 0.1% of the world's human-caused CO2. And the worst part of it all? Many of these climate fanatics who implement this kind of draconian climate measure have no problem flying back and forth to attend irrelevant climate conferences. The hypocrisy is simply dripping down the walls among these climate-saved activists. It's time we put an end to this fanatical climate policy that makes life miserable for ordinary people, including our elderly. Climate policy should be sensible, and there needs to be a sense of proportion. Because no countries see Denmark as a frontrunner when we make ourselves poorer and lower our standard of living, just to create such a microscopic and hypothetical climate difference that it will never be measurable. Instead, let's invest in nuclear power and future technologies that can pave the way for a sensible green transition.

And at the same time, let's give our elderly citizens a dignified old age. Where they're allowed to eat a delicious chopped beef patty or tartar for lunch if they feel like it—without being punished.
