You are responsible for my data.  I've given you this, this, and this.  My authorization for the use of that data expires in 12 months.  

Here are the conditions of that data:  1) you can return it to me or destroy what you have, like copies, and you can send me certification that you've done that.  So I have conditions on the use of my data.  Don't let them have it perpetually forever without limitation.  So the letter says what the terms are on the use of my data.  They won't do it because the costs for that are nuts.  They're not set up for that.  There are data services; they know what to do.  Most don't because it's cheaper to do nothing.  It's cheaper just to comply with HIPPA laws.  It's practical.  What happens if I'm the victim of ID theft.  How do I trace that back?  Did I do something wrong?  First I check if I did something wrong. 

Even the DOD.  Nobody can guarantee your data security.  That's another reason you shouldn't be giving it out.  You shouldn't be giving out your SSN to your doctor.  Your Dr. does nooo need an SSN to help you.  He's using it because there are 3rd parties, gov't agencies, the DEA, that want it.  Gov't sells your data at a price to whomever wants to pay for it.  Marketing companies, Google, and Facebook.  Are they doing it in a way where they block out your name and they just get group info: age, race, income, etc.?  They're taking everything they can get.  Nothing is scrubbed.  You're on camera at your doctor's office.  You're on camera almost anywhere.  Try to get a money order without being on camera.  Try to buy anything without being on camera. You'd have to wear a disguise.  What do you do about video data, traffic data....  On traffic data, you can keep your phone in a Faraday cage or wrap it in foil or wire mesh patches.  So if you keep it there, your phone is not being called at every intersection where there's a wifi box.  There's a wifi box at almost every intersection, and if your phone is not protected, data is being grabbed out of it.  You're not protected anywhere.  That's the whole point about the NSA data collection. They have everything on everybody but they're not going after the people they should be going after because we could take down the criminals lie that.  We could.  We could. 

Fallacy about the dark web.  They want us to be scared of using the dark web.  And then the people who more innocent are repeating it . . . ?  We create that atmosphere, average people repeat, then consensus of dark web is formed.  We think of buying drugs on the dark web.  Most innocent thing you can do on the dark web.  They market disgusting stuff.  

Why would I care about privacy?  In 2004, Muhammad Ali sold his likeness for $50 million.  His image, name, videos, phrases, all that comprises his image has value.  Everyone has a likeness.  Marilyn Monroe's estate is still being run as a business.  It's still in business and making millions of dollars a year.  Who's running it and who's making money from it?  Your signature is money.  Marilyn and Elizabeth Taylor still sell lines of jewelry and perfume.
