Regarding hospital patients and vitamin C, here is one of several studies that looked at the issue. They consider anything less than 28 µmol per liter to be deficient and less than 11 to be in the scurvy range. Let me tell you that studies show that an adult man can eat two kiwi fruits per day and get their level up to 70. So in my opinion, that 28 is quite low. But even so, have a look. on admission, 60% were what they call subnormal, 19% were in scurvy range. The majority of people going into the hospital have dangerously low vitamin C levels obviously because they are sick. And we know that with all the stress going on in the hospital, the drugs and poisons that are given to people to try to help them, vitamin C levels will drop further during hospitalization. Doctors stop the outpatient vitamin C supplements according to the study and according to what I have seen in my lifetime as well. Strange that they call what happens in hospitals medical "Care" . With regard to this, it's absolute medical neglect.

So this bill preempts all state laws for consumer protections and preempts judicial review.
