Peanut Butter Contains Aflatoxins, i.e., Mold. Options for Removing Them . . .

One of the reasons peanut butter is no longer considered healthy is: It’s considered high in aflatoxins. 

Peanut butter used to be my go-to snack food.  Tasty with an apple or on a banana or on celery.  No more.  It's not just the sugars that are unhealthy, but now we know about aflatoxins, or mold in peanut processing.

WHAT ARE AFLATOXINS?

According to the dictionary, aflatoxins are: “any of a class of toxic compounds that are produced by certain molds found in food, and can cause liver damage and cancer”.

Aflatoxins may also produce allergic responses, digestive inflammation, autoimmune or heart issues, problems with growth and development and parasite infestation.

Several mycotoxins in agricultural products cause health hazards and death to people and animals. Aflatoxin is the most potent among mycotoxins.

FOODS WITH AFLATOXINS

Corn, peanuts, cottonseed, and tree nuts. 

From the National Cancer Institute, “Aflatoxins are a family of toxins produced by certain fungi that are found on agricultural crops such as maize (corn), peanuts, cottonseed, and tree nuts. The main fungi that produce aflatoxins are Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, which are abundant in warm and humid regions of the world. Aflatoxin-producing fungi can contaminate crops in the field, at harvest, and during storage.”

While many Americans have switched away from eating peanut butter for this reason, similar amounts of mold may pervade most other tree nuts, as well as corn, cassava and oats. 

DOES NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER HAVE AFLATOXIN?

The short answer is, yes. But, there are products that don’t and ways to eliminate it.

As you’ll see below, many considerations affect whether or not your peanut butter has mold.

HOW MANY AFLATOXINS ARE ALLOWED IN AMERICAN FOOD PRODUCTS? 

Under FDA regulations manufacturers can have a maximum of 20 PPB (20ug/kg) total aflatoxins in food products.

Aflatoxins are actually a group of 4 toxins: AFG1, AFG2, AFB1 and AFB2.

unknown individual threatened a mass shooting at the courthouse where Darrell Brooks' sentencing hearing were to be held in Waukesha County

Brooks' sentencing hearing was scheduled for today and tomorrow.  But a threat of mass shooting was made, compelled the judge to "temporarily recess" the court before she resumed a short time later.   

On Tuesday, November 15th, at 9:40am, the Waukesha County Communications Center received a phone call in which an unknown individual threatened a mass shooting at the courthouse. Security at the courthouse and on the County grounds were increased. The Darrell Brooks sentencing hearing was temporarily recessed, but resumed a short time later. The threat is currently under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the City of Waukesha Police Department.  Anyone that is visiting the courthouse should anticipate increased times for security checks.  We want to thank the public for their patience during this minor disruption.

I am posting this discussion from the Ron Paul Liberty Report, originally aired on November 9, 2022, to feature the section from 15:10 to 17:10 where Daniel McAdams talks about the screaming incompetence at the polls in Maricopa County, Arizona, the fourth largest county in the United States. Remember, the larger the government jurisdiction, the greater the corruption and more than likely the higher the taxes.  

Yes, there are many races we do not know the conclusions to.  Now people have been conditioned to expect "counting the votes takes time."  No, it doesn't.  And it never has in the past.  We've only had this . . . remember when we had this anomaly in 2000, the national election was . . . the nation was turned upside because we didn't know the result right away.  So just the very fact that we are still counting, we don't know who won, tells you the dire state of voting in America right now.  In fact, I think the voting is cleaner in Venezuela than it is here.  And I was watching with disgust yesterday in places like Arizona, Maricopa County, you see some blue collar workers showing up to vote, they get there and 20% of the voting machines [simply] didn't work.  Didn't they do a test-run?  So these citizens had to get back to work.  They couldn't afford to take the whole day and sit around waiting to vote.  Do we know that these are Republicans voters?  We don't know.  There's a good chance they were.  [Actually, we do know.  Most Republican voters vote in person.] Regardless of who they would have voted for, the idea that ON ELECTION DAY 20% OF THE VOTE-COUNTING MACHINES DIDN'T WORK.  Also, a lot of people posted pictures of their ballots on Twitter.  The ballots were printed in such a shoddy manner, I saw better ballots printed in Albania than I saw [in the photos from voters in Maricopa County].  In fact, they were so badly printed that the automatic reader couldn't read the result.  They had to spoil it and get a new ballot.  And we saw tons of problems in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.  So the fact is, Dr. Paul, that voting in the U.S. is atrocious, it's an absolute disgrace.  It's amazing that a so-called first-world country cannot hold a first-world type of election.  So regardless of the result, we've got a real problem here of how we conduct our elections.
