UPDATE: The man shot and detained during Tuesday’s immigration operation in Los Angeles has been identified as “Richard LA,” a non-U.S. citizen. Federal officials say Richard rammed his car into agents’ vehicles during the targeted stop—prompting officers to open fire. Both Richard and a federal agent were hit, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Earlier this year, L.A. Councilman Curren Price’s office awarded Richard a “Certificate of Recognition” for documenting ICE operations on TikTok.
