NICK PLUMB: This is Korbin Colthorp. He’s the ONLY doctor in Western Michigan University’s 28-person Family Medicine–Kalamazoo residency who attended medical school in the United States. The other 27 went to medical school abroad.

SAMA HOOLE: Your tongue has 25 receptors for bitter. Twenty-five. One for every family of plant poison your ancestors learned to spit out, because bitter is the taste of a leaf defending itself.

Your tongue has a receptor for meat. It detects glutamate and inosinate, the taste of a steak, a broth and an aged cheese, and it rewards you for finding them. Your tongue has a receptor for fat. Found in 2015, named oleogustus, and it fires on dripping, marrow and cream. Your tongue has one receptor for sweet. It was built for ripe fruit and honey, which arrived for a few weeks a year. Your tongue has 25 receptors for bitter. Twenty-five. One for every family of plant poison your ancestors learned to spit out, because bitter is the taste of a leaf defending itself. Every child on earth rejects greens without being taught. That is the 25 receptors working exactly as built. The adult learns to override them. It takes years, salt, oil and a sauce, and the child is told it is being difficult. One receptor for meat, one for fat, 25 alarms for plants, and the whole nation has been trained to eat past the alarms and feel guilty about the two that say yes.

Your tongue filed broccoli under poison before you had a word for either.

SAMA HOOLE: A lion does not graze. It feasts, and you were issued the same stomach.

Your ancestors came home empty-handed more days than not. Three days of nothing, then a kill the size of a car, and everything in you was built around that rhythm. Your stomach stretches to four times its size, to take on a share of a carcass in one sitting, because the meat would not keep and the next one was not promised. Your gallbladder sits loaded for days, waiting to dump bile onto a sudden mountain of fat. No leaf-eater needs one. Your gut hands fat and protein a hormone that says enough, and the eating stops on its own. Sugar never got that hormone, because there was never a glut of it to stop. You have one store, and it stores fat. A day's worth of sugar, no store for protein, and a body that can lay down a lean month's fuel in a single feast. Your liver makes every gram of glucose you need out of the meat, because there was never a bag of rice on the savannah and there is still no essential carbohydrate. Your brain, when the kill is gone and the days run empty, switches to ketones made from your own fat, and runs clearer on them than it ever did on bread. Your growth hormone surges through the fast and holds your muscle, because a hunter who wasted in a lean week never hunted again. Your hunger comes as a wave, sends you out, and passes. It was never meant to nag you to a cupboard every ninety minutes. You share every bit of that kit with the lion, who eats 30 kilos at a kill and sleeps for two days, and the wolf, who eats a fifth of his own weight and walks away from the rest. Then nothing, until the next one. The stretch, the store, the switch, the sleep after. All of it predator's equipment, and all of it in you. You were built to gorge on fat, go without, and gorge again, and the going without was never the problem. It was the design. So eat like it. A pound of fatty meat, a slab of butter on it, once or twice a day, until you cannot face another bite, and then nothing until you are properly hungry again.

Not a handful of almonds at eleven and a bowl of leaves at one. A lion does not graze. It feasts, and you were issued the same stomach.

Dialectic

The dialectic isn't an aspect of Marxism, it is the aspect of Marxism.

The Platonic Nightmare, Joseph Pieper, who explained in Abuse of Language, Abuse of Power that first you have to take control of the language and abuse language, and it's through that that you abuse power.  And he called it the Platonic Nightmare in a way that everybody else thanks that's interesting and I'm not talking about being interesting I'm talking about what he called the platonic nightmare it is the basis on which everything you see drives what you're saying so much so that I'm really going to be taking quotes from leading marxists and show that they specifically point to events that happened in these dialogues and you can read these platonic dialogues and say I don't agree with that interpretation and I won't get into whether those interpretations are correct or not because really all I have to prove is that the people we are up against are all focus on these dialogues and they have a common understanding of what they mean so even if they're wrong in some larger sense they're still correct in the sense that they all have a common sight picture and for people who know what I did when I did it Islamic law in the Pentagon until I was pushed out because some Brotherhood Associates didn't want me there is I was able to show that no matter whether you were a quote moderate Muslim whether you were a Jihadi in the field or whether you were somewhere in between everything they would say was based on what it meant by a book by Sayyid Qutb, 1906-1966, who wrote the book Milestones, 1964,  and so all you had to do was listen to what they said by the Quran quotes that interpreted them

His influence.

L'Osservatore Romano of 9–10 December 1950 lists Garrigou-Lagrange among the names of the preparatory commission for the definition of the Assumption of Mary.[15]

Garrigou-Lagrange taught many Catholic theologians during his academic career at the Angelicum. He also supervised the doctoral research of Marie-Dominique Chenu, who was ordained in 1919 and completed his doctorate in theology in 1920 with a dissertation entitled De contemplatione.[16] In the period between World War II and the Cold War Garrigou-Lagrange was the "torchbearer of orthodox Thomism" against Modernism.[17] In 1926 he served as the definitive consulter to Pope Pius XI in declaring John of the Cross a doctor of the church.[18]

He is commonly held to have influenced the decision in 1942 to place the privately circulated book Une école de théologie: le Saulchoir (Étiolles 1937) by Marie-Dominique Chenu, O.P., on the Vatican's Index Librorum Prohibitorum as the culmination of a polemic within the Dominican Order between the Angelicum supporters of speculative scholasticism and the French revival Thomists who were more attentive to historical hermeneutics.[19]

Garrigou-Lagrange gave the retreat in Paris which attracted Yves Congar to leave the diocesan seminary in order to join the Dominicans.[20] Later, Congar's methodology was suspected of Modernism because it seemed to derive more from religious experience than from syllogistic analysis.[21]

Here is Priscilla Alvarez with Erin Burnett.

from Priscilla Alvarez @ CNN,

Most of the children, dressed formally with neatly styled hair, waited impatiently for the judge. Among the first to appear before the judge was a 13-year-old Honduran boy named Angel. He didn’t have an attorneY.

Asked whether there was a reason he couldn’t return to Honduras, Angel told the judge, “My mom and almost my entire family are here. It’s too dangerous to go back.”

But that wasn’t enough for the judge, who told the boy he did not qualify for asylum. “Would you like to request voluntary departure, or should I issue a removal order?” The judge asked.

“I don’t know,” Angel replied before bursting into tears. He stared ahead stoically and continued to cry, eventually saying: “I have no one. I have nothing.”

“I understand, but based on your answers, US immigration laws are very strict,” the judge concluded, and gave Angel until the end of the month to appeal his deportation order.

CARNIVORE TEACHER ALPHA: High glucose literally ages tissues faster. It affects the eyes, the nerves, the kidneys, the arteries, the brain, and the skin. This is not speculation. It's why diabetes is associated with accelerated aging and chronic disease.

Carbohydrates not evil, but excess glucose breaks human metabolism.  It's true.  Today I want to teach you something clearly, without hype, without dogma, and without pretending carbohydrates are magic or poison.  Carbohydrates are not inherently evil but excess carbohydrates, especially in the modern world, are metabolically destructive.  They are.  Not because carbs are moral or immoral but because human physiology has limits, and we regularly exceed them.  So let's talk through what carbohydrates are, what they do, when they're useful, and what happens when we flood the body with more glucose than it can safely handle.

#1:  WHAT CARBOHYDRATES ACTUALLY ARE
Carbohydrates break down into glucose which raises blood sugar.  Glucose is a fuel not a nutrient in the same category as protein or essential fats.  You need protein for structure and repair.  You need fat for hormones, cell membranes, and long-term energy.  Glucose only is needed for quick energy.  But here's the key truth.  There is no dietary requirement for carbohydrates.  The body can make glucose on demand through gluconeogenesis from protein and fat. So carbs are optional.

#2:  WHEN CARBOHYDRATES CAN BE USEFUL
Carbohydrates can serve a purpose in certain contexts: intense athletic performance, brief bursts of anaerobic activity, acute survival energy, and specific therapeutic or transitional cases.  They're not automatically harmful.  The problem is quantity, frequency, and chronic overconsumption.  Modern humans don't just eat carbs, we eat them all day, everyday, in constant excess, and that's where the system breaks.

#3:  WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GLUCOSE ENTERS THE BLOODSTREAM?
So when glucose rises, the pancreas releases a lot of insulin.  Insulin moves glucose into the cells.  The cells either burn it, store it, or convert it.  If glucose demands are high and storage space is available, no major problem occurs.  But if glucose keeps arriving beyond immediate energy needs, insulin stays elevated, and the body must decide what to do with the excess glucose.

#4:  THE BIOLOGY REALITY
When glucose exceeds immediate energy needs and glycogen storage capacity, the liver converts glucose into fat.  That's called de novo lipogenesis.  Some fat accumulates in the liver, some in the muscles, some in the organs.  De novo lipogenesis it's not Theory it's a documented metabolic pathway.  So the idea that carbs don't cause fat gain ignores basic physiology.  Excess glucose becomes fat. Repeat.  Excess glucose becomes fat.

#5:  CHRONIC EXCESSIVE CARBOHYDRATES DRIVE CHRONIC INSULIN ELEVATION
Insulin is not the villain.  But chronically elevated insulin is a problem.  When insulin stays high, fat burning is suppressed, fat storage increases, hunger signaling becomes distorted, energy crashes become more common, and cells begin resisting insulin's signal.  And this leads to insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, obesity, fatty liver disease.  Now not overnight but gradually, predictably, and systemically.

#6:  THE REAL ISSUE--GLUCOSE OVERLOAD; NOT CARBS IN ISOLATION
The problem isn't a single banana or a potato.  The problem is breakfast carbs, snack carbs, lunch carbs, afternoon sugar, dinner starch, dessert sugar, night time snacking.  That's the way I used to eat for most of my life.  The body never gets a break from glucose.  Blood sugar stays elevated, insulin stays elevated, fat storage stays active, and fat burning stays locked. This traps people in a cycle of hunger cravings energy crashes and stubborn and stubborn fat gain.

#7:  WHEN GLUCOSE EXCEEDS THE BODY'S TOLERANCE
If more glucose enters the bloodstream then the body can use, oxidative stress increases.  Glycation damages proteins and tissues.  Inflammation rises and mitochondrial efficiency declines and vascular damage accumulates.  High glucose literally ages tissues faster.  It affects the eyes, the nerves, the kidneys, the arteries, the brain, and the skin.  This is not speculation. It's why diabetes is associated with accelerated aging and chronic disease.

#8:  WHY SOME PEOPLE HANDLE CARBS BETTER THAN OTHERS
Some people tolerate carbs better due to genetics,  muscle mass, activity level, insulin sensitivity, and metabolic flexibility.  But tolerance does not equal biological necessity.  Just because someone can tolerate alcohol better doesn't mean alcohol is required.  Think about it.

#9:  WHY REDUCING CARBS OFTEN IMPROVES HEALTH
When carbohydrate intake is reduced, insulin levels fall, fat burning increases, appetite stabilizes, energy becomes more steady, triglycerides often drop, and metabolic flexibility improves.  Many people experience easier weight control, better mental clarity, reduced inflammation, and improved blood sugar regulation.  This is not magic.  It's simply removing chronic glucose overload.

#10:  THE REAL MESSAGE: CARBS ARE OPTIONAL; EXCESS IS HARMFUL
Let's be precise.  Carbohydrates are not inherently evil but excess carbohydrates are metabolically harmful not because of ideology but because human biology has a threshold and modern diets routinely exceed it.  If glucose arrives faster than it can be used, insulin rises, fat storage increases, and metabolic damage accumulates.  The body does not need constant glucose flooding.  It needs stability.

Here is my takeaway.  This isn't about fear, it's about respecting physiology.  If you keep glucose Within what your body can use, carbs may not harm you.  But, if you flood the system chronically, fat storage rises, insulin resistance develops, and metabolic health deteriorates.  It just does . . .  not because carbs are evil but because excess breaks the system.

SCOTT MECHKOWSKI: We should also call things by their proper names. Issuing work-authorization workarounds, or declining to pursue people with final orders of removal, are just amnesty by other names.

excerpts from Mechkowski's article.

Removals are a pipeline: locating the person, arresting him, detaining him, getting a final order through an overwhelmed court system, and putting him on a plane. The pipeline moves only as fast as its narrowest point.

Consider what happens after an arrest. Many people assume a deportation is nearly complete once an officer puts someone in handcuffs. In reality, the foreign government has to be notified, and it has to confirm the person's identity and issue a travel document. Some countries turn those documents around quickly, while others slow-walk them or refuse outright.

Every day of delay is a day in a detention bed that could hold someone else, and if the wait runs long enough, the person may have to be released back into the community. Even when the document arrives, the flight still has to be coordinated, whether that is a seat on a commercial flight with escorting officers or a spot on a charter that has to be filled and scheduled.

We should also call things by their proper names. Issuing work-authorization workarounds, or declining to pursue people with final orders of removal, are just amnesty by other names. Every one of these moves is a message to the world that American immigration law is negotiable if you wait long enough.

Regardless of how it is covered, a substantial share of Americans support mass deportation. The Harvard CAPS/Harris poll surveyed 1,725 registered voters from May 29 to 30, 2026, with a margin of error of ±2.4 points. It found that 80% support deporting immigrants who are here illegally and have committed crimes, up five points from 75% in April. That includes 71% of Democrats, 90% of Republicans, and 79% of independents.

They are not asking for cruelty. They are asking for a system that works, one with no amnesty, no fraud, and no exemptions for the well-connected.

Here is what keeping the promise would look like: mandatory E-Verify for every employer, funding for detention capacity and fugitive operations that matches the stated goal, worksite enforcement without industry carve-outs, and immigration judges and attorneys to clear a backlog that currently stretches for years.

SAMA HOOLE: 1381. Wat Tyler at Smithfield: all warrens, waters, parks and woods to be common, so a poor man may take game in the field and fish in the river. Tyler stabbed mid-sentence. Promise withdrawn within the month.

Every rising of the English poor for 500 years asked for the same thing, and it was not the vote. It was the meat in the wood. 1381. Wat Tyler at Smithfield: all warrens, waters, parks and woods to be common, so a poor man may take game in the field and fish in the river. Tyler stabbed mid-sentence. Promise withdrawn within the month. 1549. Robert Kett under the oak at Norwich, 29 demands. Rivers free to all men for fishing. No man under the rank of knight to keep a dovehouse, because the lord's pigeons ate the village's seed corn. Three thousand rebels killed on Mousehold Heath. Kett hanged from the castle wall. 1607. The Midland Revolt. Thousands out at night with spades, levelling the hedges that had turned common grazing into a landlord's sheepwalk. The demand was the grass the cow stood on. Cut down by mounted gentry at Newton, the leaders hanged and quartered. 1631. The Forest of Dean and the western forests. Commoners under a man calling himself Lady Skimmington tear down the fences of the King's disafforested woods to get their grazing, their firewood and their pigs back. Leaders fined and pilloried. Fences rebuilt. 1649. Winstanley's Diggers on St George's Hill, planting the common and declaring the earth a common treasury for all. Crops trampled, huts burned, cleared by the following spring. 1723. The Waltham Blacks, faces blackened, taking the bishop's deer by night. Parliament answers in four weeks with 50 new hanging offences. Seven hanged at Tyburn before Christmas. 1820s. The poaching war. In some years 1 conviction in 7 in England is under the game laws. Poachers transported to Australia by the shipload for a pheasant. Spring guns legal until 1827. 1880. The first win, in 500 years. The Ground Game Act, 1880, allows a tenant farmer to kill the hares and rabbits eating his own crop. Not the deer. Not the birds. Rabbits, on land he already rented, after five centuries of asking. The ballot took three great reform acts and a century. The rabbit took 499 years, seven risings and a great many hangings, and the deer are still not on the list.

A landowner will hand the poor a vote before he hands them the animal, because a vote can be managed and a man who can feed himself cannot.

The report said that RefugeeOne spent $9,946,902 in 2024 assisting 3,347 illegal aliens from 84 countries to live in Chicago, including those from Venezuela, Afghanistan, Syria and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Using taxpayer dollars, RefugeeOne reported paying for therapy for 293 of those aliens, and funding lawyers for 1,466 of them.

It reported finding 346 aliens jobs in Chicagoland, with "employer partners" including Unifi, Aramark, Hilton, 7-Eleven and Alpha Baking Co.

Lopez was referencing one of RefugeeOne's 17 grant agreements with the City of Chicago-- for $2,771,308 "to support the Preschool for All Program" for "children ages 3-5."

The State of Illinois also made two separate grants totaling $450,000 to RefugeeOne last year, one for "violence interruption" and another for "costs associated with the purchase of a building and infrastructure improvements."

RefugeeOne has received millions more each year in federal taxpayer funding, through other taxpayer-funded non-profits.

Patty Myers explains that, "During his final days, Tony texted his wife asking why they weren’t bringing him food. She says he struggled to get water, ice and even basic hygiene." He needed nutrient-dense food. He needed red meat. But hospital food is some of the worst. Think of convalescent hospital food: Jello, toast, fruit cup, cottage cheese. You're not going to recover on those foods.

This needs answering, but I don't expect any will come.

SAMA HOOLE: Fructose is the only sugar that produces uric acid as it's metabolised. It does it straight away, in the liver, and a can of the stuff moves the number more than a week of chops.
