Patty Myers has publicly told the story of her husband Tony Myers, who died on September 9, 2021, after being hospitalized with COVID-19 in Florida.

She produced the documentary Making a Killing, about her family's experience with COVID-era hospital treatment.  [In it, she calls the system broken.  It's not broken; it functions exactly as it's supposed to.  If your loved one dies from getting care from the system, then you know what the system is really about.]

He needed nutrient-dense food. He needed red meat. But hospital food is some of the worst. Think of convalescent hospital food: Jello, toast, fruit cup, cottage cheese. You're not going to recover on those foods.
