Seeds and nuts contain: Phytic acid (blocks mineral absorption) Oxalates (kidney stones, inflammation) Lectins (gut permeability) Enzyme inhibitors (impair digestion) High omega-6 (inflammatory when excessive) Plants don't want you eating their offspring. They made them actively harmful to discourage predation.

The "heart-healthy" marketing came decades after we started mass-producing them.
