Imagine going into a hospital for a knee replacement and never walking out. That’s exactly what happened to Glenda Dorton - instead of being administered the correct anesthesia, she was given potassium and is now paralyzed from the chest down. The hospital CEO was born and trained in India. She earned her medical degree (MBBS) from Seth G.S. Medical College / King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Her boss, the system CEO was also born in India - no word yet on the anesthesiologist or pharmacist who apparently mixed the wrong drugs. Regardless, use of locally compounded drugs in this instance are 100% against the known standard - only single use ampules with original labeling are permitted for this procedure. To protect izzat - the CEO, Dr. Shubhada Jagasia blames the pharmacy. Choose your doctor wisely.
