I actually don't quite trust her statement here, because before the 80s and going back to the 1960s, you had a greater influence of Dixiecrats, Southern Democrats, in the Democratic Party before it went all woke and left on people.  All you have to do is listen to George Wallace's policies for his state of Alabama to know the integrity of Southern Democrats.  Not perfect, but certainly in word and in deed worked to serve his people genuinely.  Scroll down to the March 8, 2026 interview with Bill Buckley and give a listen.

A Democrat-appointed federal judge entered a consent decree that banned Republicans from serving as poll watchers. So, from the mid-’80s until 2020, Republicans were not allowed to serve as poll watchers in national elections. The order had to be renewed by Democrats every 5 to 8 years. It remained in effect until the judge dropped dead and was ultimately overturned by an Obama-appointed judge, who ruled that continuing the decree was unconstitutional.

In other words, the Republican losers in the Republican Party just sat on their asses and took shit—as they always do. Think about that for a whole minute.

With the dropboxes, there were the issues associated with what was going on in the polling places. Something else people don't know is that in the mid-1980s there was a judge, a federal district court judge in New Jersey, who entered a consent decree that Republicans could not be poll watchers. So from the mid 80s until 2020 Republicans were not allowed to be poll watchers on these national elections. And what happened was that judge eventually died, and the Democrats, the DNC, had to go get that injunction renewed every 5 to 8 years, something along those lines. And when that judge died, he was replaced by an Obama judge and they went back to that judge and they said we want this consent decree in place making it so Republicans cannot be poll watchers and cannot be a part of this process. And he said what in the heck are you talking about? This is absolutely so unconstitutional and he refused to renew that consent decree. He refused to renew that injunction. So 2020 was one of the first years that we had professional Republican poll watchers in these elections to see what was going on in Atlanta, in Detroit, in Milwaukee, in Philadelphia. It was the first time we were able to really see what was going on in these polling places. And what that tells me is that probably a lot of these shenanigans had been going on for a long long time but there were no Republicans there to report on it.
