It has more than one mechanism of action, I was describing the zinc ionophore mechanism that many anti-parasitics all share. They help against cancer or inflammation, & autoimmune conditions use them as treatment too.

I will add a clue - what those things don't have in common is a parasitic infection. Ginger, turmeric in curry, & hot pepper all have anti-parasitic effects. Cold weather would not effect symptoms of a parasitic infection. Pressure change might possibly but probably not the same
